RESERVATIONS
How to Make a Reservation
Booking daycare or boarding at The PawPlex starts with a reservation request. The important part is that submitting the form does not automatically reserve your spot. Our team reviews the request first and calls you to confirm availability.
Before you can book
First-time dogs need two things on file: current vaccination records and a completed temperament meet and greet.
Both take a little lead time. Vaccination records need to come from your vet, and the meet and greet requires an appointment. If your dog has never stayed with us before, it is better to get these taken care of before your planned daycare or boarding dates get close.
Returning dogs do not need another meet and greet unless our team tells you otherwise, but vaccination records still need to be current.
What to have ready
Before submitting your request, have a few details ready:
- Your dates. For boarding, include the exact drop-off and pickup days. If your schedule is flexible, having alternate dates can help during busy periods.
- Feeding instructions. Let us know what your dog eats, how much, how often, and anything unusual about their routine. See our Feeding and Medication guide for more details.
- Medications, including the name, dose, and schedule.
- Current phone numbers and an emergency contact who can be reached if you are unavailable.
- Anything that has changed since your pet’s last visit, such as a new diagnosis, recent injury, household change, or new behavior around other dogs.
How to submit a reservation request
Submit your daycare or boarding request through The PawPlex website. Fill in your pet’s information, the service you need, and your requested dates.
Once the request reaches us, our team will review the details and check availability. We will then call you to confirm the reservation and take care of anything else we need before the visit.
A submitted request is not a confirmed reservation. Your spot is reserved only after you have spoken with The PawPlex and we have confirmed it.
If your dates are getting close and you have not heard from us, call the front desk rather than assuming the reservation is set.
How far ahead to request a spot
For daycare, submitting your request a few days ahead is usually a good idea, especially if you need a specific day or want to attend regularly.
For regular boarding, try to request your stay a couple of weeks ahead.
Holiday and peak-season boarding fills more quickly. Aim for about three to four weeks ahead when possible, especially if your dates are not flexible. Our Holiday and Peak Season Boarding guide explains what to expect during busier periods.
If your travel plans are still tentative, you can still submit a request. It is much easier to adjust dates later than to look for an open boarding spot at the last minute.
Changing or canceling a reservation
Plans change. If you need to adjust or cancel your reservation, let us know as early as you can so we can update your pet’s stay and make the space available to another family.
There is no cancellation fee, including for holiday stays, and clients pay at pickup.
Adding transportation
If you would like to use Tail Waggin’ Transit with your daycare or boarding reservation, include it when you submit your request.
Routes are planned in advance, so transportation is easier to arrange when we know about it early. For a boarding stay, that may mean picking your dog up before you leave and returning them after you are home.
See our Pairing Transit with Grooming or Daycare guide for more information.
